Format and coverage

Our three English and three Maths papers each contain 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, including reading within that time. These are MCQ skills adaptations. They do not reproduce the written-answer format, additional reading period or continuous-writing assessment, and cannot replace practising those tasks. Applied Reasoning was removed from the official English exam from September 2024; reasoning activities in our collection are broader skills practice.

Format and coverage

Our English and verbal-reasoning papers practise first-round skills; Maths papers are MCQ adaptations for second-round mathematical skills. These are independent subject papers, not complete round-one or round-two simulations. Non-verbal reasoning and assessed written English are not included. Each paper’s timer is our stated practice setting.

Format and coverage

Our 50-question subject papers are extended component practice, with longer practice timers: 45 minutes for English and Maths, and 35 for verbal reasoning. These are not official component lengths or combined-paper simulations. Non-verbal reasoning, spatial reasoning and the writing exercise are excluded; no overall Kent Test score is calculated.

Format and coverage

Our three papers in each covered subject contain 50 original MCQs. English and Maths use 45 minutes, and verbal reasoning uses 40 minutes. These are our independent subject-practice timings, not Quest’s combined-paper schedule. Non-verbal reasoning is excluded. We do not claim Quest endorsement, an exact test replica or an official Bexley standardised score.

Start with one paper. Make the review count.

New to a collection? Paper 1 is a convenient starting point. Work through its explanations and practise the topics you missed before choosing another paper. Papers 1–3 contain different questions; they are not calibrated difficulty levels, and their scores are not directly equivalent. Choose a £5 single, or buy all three together in a £15 subject bundle.

From a focused sitting to a useful debrief

  1. Choose a paper. Read its format guide, then choose standard time or 25% extra time before beginning. No diagnosis is requested.
  2. Make time to concentrate. Work through the whole paper in your browser. Select answers, flag questions and revisit earlier work. The clock continues through refreshes, and answers save as you work.
  3. Learn from the result. See your mark, every answer and its worked explanation. A topic breakdown and short practice plan point to questions worth revisiting.

Clear marking: one mark for the complete correct answer, with no negative marks. Questions with multiple answers state exactly how many choices are needed.

Each £5 purchase includes one online sitting, question and worked-answer PDFs, and 90 days of access to that paper and its report. A parent or guardian arranges payment. Use a learner nickname, keep the private access pass safe, and have a pencil and scratch paper ready. Calculators, dictionaries and outside help are not allowed during a sitting.

Know what your score means.

Actual marks, topic results and explanations are available from the first sitting. Once an exact paper version has 100 eligible first standard-time sittings, its reports also show a percentile within that self-selected Exam Quay cohort.

Extra-time sittings, free tasters, test payments and identifiable repeats do not enter that comparison. Downloading either PDF before completing online also excludes that sitting from the comparison cohort. Historical official scores cannot reliably calibrate new questions without a linking study. A practice percentile is not a national standardised score, pass prediction or admission probability.

Independent original practice, not official past papers. Exam Quay is not affiliated with or endorsed by the named schools, councils, consortia, GL or Quest. NVR, spatial reasoning and assessed continuous writing are excluded. The papers have undergone calculation and editorial checks; independent teacher moderation and pupil timing calibration have not yet been completed. Use the official familiarisation materials alongside this practice.
